'Closed Contact' is one of my favourite works by Jenny Saville. She was fascinated by the whole idea of creating beauty through surgery by changing the natural form. “Saville took this idea of the mutation of the flesh and translated it into a series of photographs, Closed Contact, which she made with her friend the photographer Glen Luchford, her only collaborative work. Pressing her body on to a plane of Perspex, which he photographed from beneath, she reduced her flesh simply to volume, manipulated and reproduced on a flat surface. The images offer, not a story, but an experience that begins in visceral uneasiness and gradually shifts to a haunted serenity. The discomfort is complicated. It is triggered partly by our sense of the instantaneous monstrosity of a normal human transformed by the spreading of the shape beyond what we understood as normal…”

this book is a collection of my concrete and visual poems of the last years, written with my »adler triumph gabriele 10« typewriter. as the subtitle says, it can also be read as a drama in four acts.
…after »2 4get her« was sold out quickly last year, i decided to republish the book in a slightly new look. i wrote everything with a different typewriter, added 20 poems and rearranged many of them. as the previous version it is completely handmade, but now some poems are printed in color and it has beautiful hardcover.
